Swim Official Course Description

This course is designed to certify (beginners, currently certified USA, high school and collegiate swim officials) or recertify (currently certified YMCA) individuals as officials in the YMCA of the USA's Competitive Swimming Program. The course focuses on events, procedures, duties, and responsibilities of the officials prior to, during, and after the meet. A score of 80 percent must be achieved on a take home test in order to be certified or re-certified.

Prerequisites: Minimum age 21. You must send or bring the registration form to the class with the signature of the Executive Director (or Head Coach) from your YMCA.

The 2006 rulebook can be ordered on line from NCAA.org or it can be downloaded from that site.
